Food
Aside from being the only pet food that donates 50% of all our profits to helping rescue dogs in need, our food is also different in a good way. We specialise in making high quality complete wet food.
What that means is we only real fresh meat, fruit and veg. Our ingredients are all natural - even down to using natural ingredients as a source of prebiotic and joint care.
Our food is gently steam cooked just once with no pre-processing to ensure it's as nutritious and tasty as nature intended.
At Miraculous Meals we’re obsessive about making sure your dog gets the best quality food. For us that means using the best quality meat we can. It's why we only ever use 100% real meat.
We never use cheap, low quality alternatives like meat meal which is ground up meat and bone, often made from skin, hooves beaks etc.
Our meat comes from meat used in human food. Once the parts intended for human consumption are removed, we use the valuable and nutritious meat that remains. Meaning your dog gets the taste and nutrition it deserves while also helping to minimise the impact on the planet.
Yes. All our recipes are grain-free. The corn and wheat in standard dog food contains a lot of fibre that dogs can't digest. Grain free dog food offers a host of advantages, such as enhanced digestion, improved skin health and increased energy levels.
At Miraculous Meals we care deeply about the health of your dog. For us that means making sure your dog gets the tasty, natural nutrition it needs with zero junk added.
We add NO meat meal - meat meal is made from grinding up poor quality meat, bones, hooves, skin etc and rendering it at high temperature into a brown powder.
We add NO cheap fillers, artificial enhancers or preservatives - we don’t include cheap fillers like Soya, Wheat or Gluten that are hard for dogs to digest and have minimal nutritional benefit. We add no artificial colourings, no artificial taste enhancers, no artificial aromas and no preservatives. Our food is only made from quality natural, nutritious ingredients that are gently steam cooked to lock in the flavour and goodness.
We add NO artificial flavourings and colourings – we only use 100% real meat that looks like meat and tastes like meat so doesn’t require any enhancing.
We will be soon! If you're signed up to our mailing list we'll let you know as soon as it's ready.
Two reasons - dogs absolutely love the taste of offal! And it's rich in vitamins, minerals and amino acids and provides vital nutrients not found in other meat.
All the ingredients we use are derived from natural sources, with the exception of the vitamins and minerals we add to our foods. This is because some vitamins and minerals do not have natural counterparts, and the quality of those that do can vary significantly. These added nutrients are crucial for achieving nutritional balance in our complete recipes.
We don’t pre-process our foods. Our balanced, natural ingredients are just chopped up and gently steam cooked only once to lock in the goodness. This means that each tin of food reflects naturally occurring variations within our raw ingredients and is full of natural flavour.
Let's start with what prebiotics actually are and why they're good for your dog. Your dog's gut is home to trillions of beneficial microbes that play a crucial role in the digestion of food, synthesis of vitamins, and maintenance of a robust immune system. However, there are instances when the equilibrium of these microbes is thrown off, leading to an overgrowth of harmful bacteria that can crowd out the beneficial ones.
Prebiotics for dogs are basically food for the ‘good’ bacteria in your dog’s gut. They’re indigestible so travel through your dog’s tummy until they reach the colon. When in the colon they act as food for the ‘good’ bacteria that live there and help them strengthen and grow to counter any build-up of harmful bacteria.
Each of our recipes contains natural prebiotics from chicory root and yeasts. Both are great, proven, natural sources of prebiotic.
The real meat and nutritious fish we use in our recipes are good natural sources of Omega 3:6. We also add Flaxseed Oil or Salmon Oil to each recipe to ensure our food is rich in Omega 3:6 to support your dog's brain health, skin and coat health, joint mobility, heart health, eye health and immunity.
Yes. There are no official guidelines on which ingredients qualify as hypoallergenic or not and so the definition can vary from one brand to another. In essence it means food that is less likely to cause an allergic reaction. The industry consensus is that to be classed as hypoallergenic, dog food must be free from added wheat, maize, dairy products, soya products and artificial additives, all of which are known to be problematic in sensitive dogs. Our food contains none of these ingredients and is made using only natural, fresh ingredients.
Unlike most brands we only use real meat in our food which is easier for dogs to digest and helps reduces the chance of dogs developing any adverse health affects from the proteins in their food.
It is important to note, that food allergies and intolerances are actually very rare and your dog is much more likely to be suffering from an environmental or seasonal allergy than a food allergy. Dogs can also develop adverse reactions to almost any ingredient, no food is absolutely risk free.

Yes. All our food contains Turmeric, proven to be a powerful natural anti-inflammatory that can aid pain relief and reduce joint stiffness in dogs. This will help maintain good joint health in your dog.

The fish we use in our recipes arrives at the factory frozen; unlike the meat we use which is always chilled. This is because of the short shelf life of fish.
Frozen fish is no less healthy than fresh fish. The flash freezing technique that’s used actually massively reduces the risk of any harmful bacteria that can occur in the manufacturing of fresh fish and with no nutrients lost.
The health of your pet is our top priority. It’s why our food has been developed with highly trained professional (vets, nutritionists and product formulation experts) and undergone extensive nutritional and safety testing.
